My goal always to answer to every question from Fiddler on the Roof. Why did you chose us? For that, we will go on God’s choice of the Jewish people that is rooted in the continental relationship that established in Genesis. These stories of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as well. The promises made to them by God highlighted the special role and purpose that God has bestowed upon the Jewish people.
In Genesis, God chose us. Abraham, these His descendants, to be a blessing to all nations. Genesis 12 one, two, three. This covenantal promise underscores the unique calling of the Jewish people to embody God’s values principles and teachers into the world through their faithfulness. In obedience to God’s commandments. The Jewish people are called to be allied to the nations, sharing God’s love, justice and compassion with humanity.

Despite the fact coming in struggles the stories of Abraham’s faith Isaac sacrifice. Jacob’s wrestled with God and Joseph for redemption exemplified the enduring faithfulness of God and the resilience of the Jewish people and fulfilling the divine calling by understanding the foundational role of Genesis in shaping Jewish identity and heritage.
We gain insight into the profound significance of God’s choice for the Jewish people. It is a testament of God’s grace, love and sovereignty, as well as a culture. We embrace and embody the values and teachings of the covenant in our own lives and communities. Beresheet about Elohim. It’s a shower mind without its meaning. In the beginning, God created heaven and earth.
Doesn’t matter if you are a Jew. If you are Brazilian for an American, whatever you are. Almost everybody knows Genesis one one and the why God started with this verse. Why God is hard to with the steadiness that He created heaven in the earth. We should ask. And the question is why you created heaven and earth. You know, in Jewish tradition or in Jewish interpretation, we call partial truth.
So people dare to do interpretation. They are passion. And this is why we have in Jesus time the Pharisees, the one that they did what the interpretation of the Bible. So what we do right now, we do the interpretations of what is written. So why would God created heaven and earth? People say about love, just show his strength.
Just so to show that he’s the mighty and only God. But if we look on the same chapter of Genesis BERESHEET Chapter one, verse 26, what he says, then God said, Let us make man in our image according to whatever likeness. Like, once I was trying to share my faith with someone and he said, I don’t believe in this Bible in the Old Testament or the Hebrew Bible or whatever.
And they said, It’s okay, we are different. But listen, I want you to listen. Why? I believe. And he agreed with me. That said, the reason that God created heaven and earth was to put man on it. As simple as that. We don’t need to go sometimes as deep as it is to understand the Bible. So my point to you right now, before coming to the Jewish people is why God created heaven and earth because of us.
Because of you, Because of all of us where we leave right now. So it is because of love? Of course it is. It is because his show. His might. Of course it is. But at the end it is because of you and me. So I hope that the next episode we can talk more about the history of Israel and why God created heaven in the earth.
Thank you and have a nice week. Shabbat Shalom
